Investment in Fixed Assets for the First Twelve Months of 2018

In the first twelve months of 2018, the investment in fixed assets (excluding rural households) reached 63,563.6 billion yuan, up by 5.9 percent year-on-year, and the growth rate was unchanged from that in the first eleven months, decreased 1.3 percentage points from that in the same period of the previous year. In December, the investment in fixed assets (excluding rural households) increased 0.42 percent, month-on-month. Of which, the private investment in fixed assets reached 39,405.1 billion yuan, and the growth rate was 8.7 percentage points higher than that in the previous year, a year-on-year increase of 2.7 percent.

 

In term of different industries, the investment in primary industry was 2,241.3 billion yuan, went up by 12.9 percent year-on-year, and the growth rate was 0.7 percentage point higher than that in the first eleven months; that of secondary industry was 23,789.9 billion yuan, went up by 6.2 percent, and the growth rate was unchanged from that in the first eleven month; that of tertiary industry was 37,532.4 billion yuan, increased 5.5 percent, and the growth rate decreased 0.1 percentage point.

 

In secondary industry, the investment in industry increased 6.5 percent year-on-year, and the growth rate was 0.1 percentage point higher than that in the first eleven months, increased 2.9 percentage points from the previous year. Of which, the investment in mining industry went up by 4.1 percent, and the growth rate was 4..5 percentage points lower than that in the first eleven months; that of manufacture increased 9.5 percent, and the growth rate was unchanged from that in the first eleven month; that of production and supply of electric power, heat power, gas and water, decreased 6.7 percent, and the pace of decline narrowed by 2.1 percentage points.

 

In tertiary industry, the investment in infrastructure (excluding electric power, heat power, gas and water) increased 3.8 percent year-on-year, and the growth rate increased 0.1 percentage point from that in the first eleven months, decreased 15.2 percentage points than the previous year. Of which, the investment in management of water conservancy decreased 4.9 percent, and the pace of decline expanded by 0.5 percentage point; that of management of public facilities increased 2.5 percent, the growth rate increased 1.1 percentage points; that of transport via road increased 8.2 percent, down by 0.3 percentage point; that of transport via railway decreased 5.1 percent, and the pace of decline expanded by 0.6 percentage point.

 

In term of different areas, the investment in eastern region rose by 5.7 percent year-on-year, and the growth rate decreased 0.1 percentage point from that in the first eleven months; that of central region increased 10.0 percent, and the growth rate was unchanged from that in the first eleven months; that of western region increased 4.7 percent, an increase of 0.8 percentage point; that of northeastern region increased 1.0 percent, and the growth rate increased 0.3 percent point.

 

In term of types of registration, the investment by domestic enterprises went up by 6.5 percent year-on-year, and the growth rate increased 0.2 percent point from that in first eleven months; investment by funds from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan went down by 11.5 percent, and the pace of decline expanded by 5.4 percentage points; and the investment by foreign funds went up by 6.1 percent, and the growth rate was unchanged from that in the first eleven months.
