From January to February, China's fixed asset investment (excluding rural households) was 4,523.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 35.0 percent; it was 3.5 percent higher than that from January to February in 2019, with an average growth rate of 1.7 percent in two years. Among them, private investment in fixed assets was 2,618.3 billion yuan, up 36.4 percent year on year. In terms of the month on month rate, investment in fixed assets (excluding rural households) increased by 2.43 percent in February.
By industry, the investment in the primary industry was 103.7 billion yuan, up 61.3 percent year on year; the investment in the secondary industry was 1,219 billion yuan, up 34.1 percent; the investment in the tertiary industry was 3,200.9 billion yuan, up 34.6 percent.
In the secondary industry, industrial investment increased by 34.1 percent year on year. Among them, investment in mining industry increased by 15.8 percent; investment in manufacturing industry increased by 37.3 percent; and investment in production and supply of electricity, heat, gas and water increased by 25.5 percent.
In the tertiary industry, infrastructure investment (excluding electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply) increased by 36.6 percent year-on-year. Among them, investment in water conservancy management increased by 47.2 percent; investment in public facilities management increased by 42.3 percent; investment in road transportation increased by 30.7 percent; and investment in railway transportation increased by 52.9 percent.
By region, the investment in the eastern region increased by 36.2 percent year on year, the investment in the central region increased by 49.4 percent, the investment in the western region increased by 36.5 percent, and the investment in the northeast region increased by 26.4 percent.
According to the types of registration, the investment of domestic enterprises increased by 34.8 percent, that of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan enterprises rose by 50.0 percent and that of foreign enterprises jumped by 22.9 percent.
