From January to April, China's fixed asset investment (excluding rural households) was 14,380.4 billion yuan, up 19.9 percent year on year; It was 8.0 percent higher than that from January to April in 2019, with an average growth of 3.9 percent in two years. Among them, private investment in fixed assets was 8,251.9 billion yuan, up 21.0 percent year on year. On a month-on-month basis, investment in fixed assets (excluding rural households) increased by 1.49 percent in April.
By industry, the investment in the primary industry was 362 billion yuan, up 35.5 percent year on year; the investment in the secondary industry was 4,225.5 billion yuan, an increase of 21.7 percent; the investment in the tertiary industry was 9,792.9 billion yuan, an increase of 18.7 percent.
In the secondary industry, industrial investment increased by 21.7 percent year on year. Among them, the investment in mining industry increased by 13.0 percent; that of the manufacturing increased by 23.8 percent; and that of the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas and water increased by 14.4 percent.
In the tertiary industry, infrastructure investment (excluding electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply) increased by 18.4 percent year on year. Among them, the investment in water conservancy management industry increased by 24.9 percent; the investment in public facilities management increased by 14.1 percent; the investment in road transportation increased by 16.8 percent; investment in railway transportation industry increased by 27.5 percent.
By region, the investment in the eastern region increased by 18.6 percent year on year; investment in the central region increased by 30.7 percent; investment in the western region increased by 18.0 percent; investment in northeast China increased by 15.2 percent.
According to the types of registration, the investment of domestic enterprises increased by 19.9 percent year on year; the investment of enterprises from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan increased by 29.4 percent; and that of foreign enterprises increased by 10.4 percent.
